We teach riding on the flat and over fences. We teach both hunters and jumpers (And yes, there is a big difference.
Horseback riding is as varied as people and there are literally a thousand ways to enjoy horses and events to do with them. In our riding lessons, we teach the skills that will enable each horse rider to pursue their own goals. Our emphasis is always on developing control and communication with the horse in a safe manner. We are careful to consider the goals of each rider. Some may want to jump and show, while others may just want to ride for recreation.

We often get calls from someone who has bought a piece of property and they want a horse as soon as they get their fencing up! DON'T DO IT! That leads to injuries and eventually the horse just stands in a field and no one does anything with it. If you had property that had an airstrip on it, you wouldn't just buy a small airplane!! TAKE LESSONS FIRST. We recommend you lease for a while and then buy. In the long run you will enjoy your horses for the rest of your life and they will enjoy you.
Horseback riding is good exercise and a skill that can be enjoyed throughout a lifetime, no matter where you live.
We teach children and adults of all ages and all skill levels.
What you need to wear or bring:
For all lessons, we can provide helmets or the student may bring their own.
Please wear long pants and closed toe shoes year round, even in the summer. NO SANDLES OR FLIP FLOPS AROUND THE HORSES.
Please bring a jacket when the weather is below 55 degrees. This is an outdoor sport and riders can always take jackets off if the get too warm. We suggest layering clothing.

Regular Lessons:
First lesson $60
Pay as you go after first lesson $50

Young Rider lessons:

Mommy/Daddy and Me:
Pay as you go after first lesson $45

Private Lessons:
Private lessons are sold in a one month block for $300 per month for a 4 week block of time set aside for just you or your rider each week.
Private lessons are NOT available after 3PM Monday-Friday due to conflict with regular lessons.
Pricing for shows will vary with the show. Please ask Tammy for a handout when you discuss showing.
There is NO CHARGE for attending shows as a visitor. We are always happy for the support.
Horses will be assigned to riders depending on their ability and goals. We believe that each horse is an individual and enjoys certain tasks more than others. It is important that each rider learn to progress and develop and that may require them to move from one horse to another.
