Horses For Sale

For many years we were a successful sale barn with a good reputation for good horses at fair prices that were honestly represented. It finally became too hard to run the lesson and show program and sell horses at the same time, so we aren't a true sale barn any longer. But from years of being in the business we have some great connections to good horses when they need to find new homes. On a much smaller scale, we still take great pride in offering a few great horses a year to new homes. We don't want to see the horse go to a home that isn't going to fit any more than you want a horse that doesn't fit your needs and you will find our first questions will alway be "What do you want to do with the horse?" and "What type of rider?" Don't try to buy a winning jumper that will carry your 5 year old child! We want to educate and fit horse and rider together.

Terms of Sale

We don't keep anything on the property that isn't a nice, well broke and well-trained horse. We like getting in new horses and working with them, it's good experience for our more advanced riders and Kandi still loves to work with greener horses... even at 80 she is still a horse trainer at heart. We enjoy finding good horses and then matching them to good homes. That being said, if they are suitable in temperament for her to ride at her age, they are suitable for most other riders. We usually have a few really nice horses for sale or lease. Both Kandi and Tammy love to buy horses, so if we bring in something new, something has to leave. What we sell are horses we just don't use as much for a variety of reasons, mostly because we have enough horses in that level to meet the needs of our students.

One of the cutest horses we have ever had! He is so much fun to ride. All the kids are crazy about him. We had lessons on him the day we brought him home, and even though he had never been in a ring before, he adapted well!

Bred in Southwest Virginia, he is fancy, kind-minded, and a pleasure to work with. He has miles of experience trail and road riding, drives, and is safe enough for a novice rider. He is fun to ride, sensible, and good on the ground. He ties quietly and has an easygoing, willing disposition.

This handsome, versatile gelding offers beauty, brains, and experience-the complete package. Horses like this are hard to find, and he will not last long!
We just brought him in from a buying trip to TN, and we could not be more pleased or more proud to offer him.

He was never in a ring, and we put him in with other horses going different directions, and he didn't care. He just didn't canter in the ring, which it typical of horses who have never done ring work, but he is learning fast, and he is very willing. He handles chaos well. Rides English and Western

She is soooo cute. VERY calm and easy to work around. Miles of trail riding. She has a lovely trot and a nice fast walk but she doesn't canter in the ring. She LOVES the trails and will canter when she is out. A very solid trail horse, she will NEVER run off with anyone. She would Hilltop on a hunt or could be used for kids or a husband/wife who is a hesitant rider. An older rider who wanted something solid would love her. And she is one of the prettiest draft crosses I've ever seen. Rides Western, English, Bareback, anything hanging in the tack room. Easy mouth. No Vices. Not marish.

Quiet and Solid

Sabrina is truly a unicorn. Anyone can ride her. She is sweet and likes people. She is great on the ground and easy to work around. We put lessons on her the first day she came home. She is learning to canter in the ring because she has always been on trails. Miles of trail riding, goes trhough water, nothing bothers her. No spook, rear or buck. My Dachshunds could ride her if they could learn how to steer!
She is truly a unicorn because she is not stuborn or lazy. She will easily go when asked and listens to her rider BUT she does not want to go any faster than asked and is not reactive to a rider who is unbalanced or has flapping legs. This is what everyone wants and is soooo hard to find. She is the perfect balance between whoa and go! We have had all levels of rider on her and she has responded well to everyone.
And she is pretty, with smooth gaits. Rides English or Western. No vices.

A true Unicorn

It is with GREAT regret that we are offering Destiny for sale. She was 2025 Open Jumper Champion and 2025High Point Jumper of the year. She has the greatest mind and is easy to ride. HOWEVER, she landed wrong over the last fence in the last show of the year and tore a tendon sheath.

After extensive vet treatment, it has healed (All vet records are available). The vet has advised against using her for jumping again. She is cleared for general riding and has a solid dressage basis, as we start all of our jumpers with leg and flexion. She can isolate, frame (she's a little rusty), and move diagonally.

She is lovely, and we thought about breeding her to a warmblood because she is very athletic and LOVES to jump, but we aren't set up for foals. Tammy has decided to find her a home where she can continue to work because she has a good work ethic. We have used her for a few lessons, but all of our lessons are focused on jumping.

I need to get some video of her. I have a LOT of photos of her over fences but I don't want to lead anyone to believe that would be something they could use her for.
